lot is at the disposal of the lessee the sum of $319.00 being premium for the area coloured purple on plan No. 2 at the rate of 50 cents per square foot.

(d) Crown Rent for the re-adjusted lot to be at the

rate of $100.00 per acre per annum calculated to the

nearest even dollar commencing from the date mention- -ed in (c) above.

(e) The lessee to pay into the Colonial Treasury on demand the sum of $6.25 for each boundary stone required to define the lot, he will be also required to pay the cost of refixing any existing boundary stones, the work to be carried out by Government. (f) The lessee to pay to the Land Officer on demand the

sum of $30.00 for the new Crown Leage.

(g) The lessee shall raise no objection to the diversion

or closing of the existing road and shall make no

claim in respect thereof.

(h)

The lessee will only be put in possession of such portions of Quarry Bay Inland Lot No. 4 edged red

and blue on plan No. 2 es do not interfere with traffic on the existing Shaukiwan Road until the diversion of the road (at this point) or such

portions of it as may be necessary to accommodate traffic has been completed.

3. It should be noted that Quarry Bay Inland Lot No. 4 is held on Crown Lease for a period of 999 years

from the 2nd July, 1894.

It is proposed that the small area edged

brown on plan No. 2 should be granted to Messrs. Butterfield

and Swire free of charge to compensate them for the loss

and inconvenience suffered owing to the necessity of postponing the erection of certain buildings on the old

area
